Co-operation between Central Authorities

 

The Maintenance Regulation contains detailed provisions on the co-operation between Central Authorities in the different States bound by the instrument, which are to a big extent identical with those contained in the 2007 Hague Convention. In practice, it will be the far-reaching Central Authority support together with the legal aid provision that will lead to a massive improvement for applicants in need of assistance in cross-border maintenance cases.
