Overview of Recent and Pending Cases before the CJEU and ECtHR Relevant for the Media

This e-presentation offers an overview of pending and recently adopted (2017-2018) judgments of the Court of Justice, the General Court of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights with an impact on the media sector. It includes rulings on the interpretation of the AVMSD (for example, C-132/17 Peugeot v. Deutsche Umwelthilfe e.V.), on copyright (for example, C-610/15 Stichting Brein v. Ziggo BV , C-265/16 VCAST v. RTI SpA), on the e-Commerce Directive as well as on data protection (C-210/16 Schleswig-Holstein DPA, the Schrems series of cases).
