The speaker presents the work and goals of ICLEI, as association of local governments, as well as best practices developed with regard to sustainable and innovative procurement in the energy sector. Examples relating to energy-efficient and low-carbon procurement and challenges relating to procurement for renewable energy sources are discussed.
