Regulation Brussels II bis - Material scope

Purely domestic cases are not covered.
Cross-border cases are partly covered.
Cross-border cases concerning divorce, legal separation, marriage annulment and parental responsibility fall within the scope of Brussels II bis.
Whereas recognition of a marriage, ancillary measures like name, property consequences, maintenance obligations, trusts and succession issues and preliminary issues like capacity to marry and validity of a marriage do not fall within the scope of Brussels II bis.
