The Relationship between UN CRPD and EU Law
Going forward
In the future it will be important to strengthen the role of NGOs and academics so as to increase their possibility to help identify areas where EU actions are necessary, or valuable, in the area of disability law. Moreover, the existing commitments must be fulfilled. Two examples are the implementation of a Directive to combat discrimination outside the field of employment, as well as the implementation of the European Accessibility Act.
