Study on judges’ training needs in the field of European competition law

QUESTIONNAIRE FOR JUDGES

This questionnaire is a part of a study commissioned by the European Commission on judges' training needs in the field of European competition law. Together with you, judges from all 28 Member States will be invited to answer questions on the following topics:

1.         The type of court in which you work

2.         Your knowledge of languages

3.         Your knowledge of EU competition law

4.         Your academic legal studies

5.         Your initial judicial training

6.         Your continuous training (if any) in EU competition law

7.         Your views on current training provision

8.         Your priorities and preferences for training

9.         Your views on networking and databases

The results will play an important role in shaping the future provision of training in this field. It is therefore important that you answer as many questions as possible. If you wish to interrupt the survey, you can save your answers and continue from the same question later.

The study is being conducted by the Academy of European Law (ERA) in partnership with the European Judicial Training Network and Ecorys. Please note that if you have participated in an EU-funded training programme in the past, you may receive a request to respond to a separate survey organised by our partner Ecorys. These surveys are complementary and we encourage you to respond to both: comparing the results will help draw conclusions about the funding programme.

We would be very grateful if you would reply by 31 July 2015. Responses will be accepted until 31 August 2015 at the latest.

Thank you very much for your contribution.
